My Story

I had in mind for the last year or so that i wanted to do a marathon this year to celebrate my 40th birthday, i wanted to find one as close as possible to my birthday.

So i finally found one and its a beautiful one too around the stunning lake windermere in cumbria, this is not going to be easy so i hope you can appreciate the effort this will take even as someone who runs a lot. Its double the length of anything ive ran to date and has about 600 meters of elevation.

As some of you know we lost someone very special at the beginning of december, my beautiful step mum colleen lost her short battle with multiple agressive cancers...

So even though my choice of marathon had been decided my charity of choice hadnt.

Until now!!

We Hear You offers an invaluable service providing free counselling to cancer patients and family members affected, they are facing closure of this vital resource and need all they help they can get to keep going..

I think colleen would approve of both my choice of marathon and my choice of charity so windermere will be in her honour..

There will be tears no doubt and times when i doubt my capabilities, so please show your support by helping raise as much as possible.... i will try to post updates here or you can follow my fb or strava
